SAWTA Membership

Together we can set an industry standard for Ethical & Responsible Wildlife Tourism in South Africa.

STEP 1: Please complete the enquiry form on the right with your relevant information .

STEP 2: Should you qualify for SAWTA membership (T&C apply), we will email the SAWTA membership information and online application link to you.

STEP 3: Pay the once-off, non-refundable application fee of R1250 to cover administration & processing costs.

STEP 4: Receive the application forms/links. Complete the Membership Application form(s) and submit ALL required documentation.

STEP 5: Your application will be verified & reviewed for approval by SAWTA.

STEP 6: If all the requirements for membership approval have been met, you will be notified via email with our banking details for annual fee payment, included.
Option 1: Facility offering Wildlife Tourism = R3500/year
Option 2: Tour/Travel Operator = R2500/year
Option 3: Wildlife Tourism Service/Supplier = R2500/year
Option 4: NPO/NGO/Education = R1500/year
Option 5: Wildlife Tourism Supporter = R500/year

STEP 7: Upon receipt of Proof of Payment of annual SAWTA membership fee, your official membership certificate (with unique registration number) will be issued and emailed to you.

STEP 8: If you are a wildlife tourism facility (Option 1) your membership application also requires applying for the SAWTA official ACCREDITATION for wildlife facilities offering wildlife tourism. If approved by the SAWTA Standards Committee, your official membership certificate (with unique registration number) will also includes an official "stamp" as Ethical & Responsible Wildlife Tourism APPROVED facility.
